實驗室簡介

The lab was established in 2006. The major functions and purposes of it are to develop various neuropsychological assessment tools for taping general intellectual abilities, specific cognitive domains and behavioral functions. The lab has been equipped with a variety of tools to serve our aims, including desktop, laptop, and tablet PCs, electronic input devices, and biofeedback machines, etc. In addition, we have also acquired a fairly comprehensive range of neuropsychological tests in paper-and-pencil or computerized formats for training and research.

 

Currently, there are one full-time research assistant (a qualified clinical psychologist) and 11 postgraduate students in Clinical Psychology Program joining our lab. In addition to attending our weekly seminar and carrying out behavioral experiments at the lab, they also contribute at least one or two working days at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Lin Kou) for clinical service and research.

研究方向(研究計畫)

There have always been several research projects running in parallel throughout recent years. Currently, our main research activities include:

1. Investigating the neuropsychological functions of patients with carotid artery stenosis, and examining the effects of carotid revascularization on cognitive functions.

2. Developing the methods for detecting simulated cognitive impairments.

3. Exploring the applicability of using verbal tests in predicting premorbid fluid intelligence in Taiwanese samples.

4. Testing the applicability of an inter-temporal choice model in humans.
